Wireless Valley Releases
SitePlanner® 2000 In-building Design Environment
Blacksburg, VA, June 30, 2000 -- Wireless
Valley Communications, Inc., pioneering developer of innovative
engineering tools for wireless systems planning and design, today
announced the release of their SitePlanner® 2000 software suite.
With revolutionary visualization capability to predict, measure
and manage wireless system performance, SitePlanner® 2000 now
includes a real time measurement interface for the Anritsu SiteMaster
MS2711 handheld spectrum analyzer. SitePlanner® 2000 also imports
measurement log file formats from Agilent Technologies E74XX
series of radio receiver software as well as emerging IMT 2000 and
other third-generation wireless measurement equipment.
SitePlanner® 2000 now enables seamless outdoor
drive testing and indoor walk test measurement collection. SitePlanner®
2000 is rapidly establishing itself as the new standard for indoor
wireless systems design and management tools.
SitePlanner® 2000 features an enhanced performance
prediction engine and a simplified, significantly automated interface
for creating site-specific 2D/3D models of any multistory building
or campus environment.
SitePlanner® 2000 provides a complete asset
management system for all in-building installations. The software
also facilitates instant visualization, prediction, and measurement
of the critical characteristics of wireless design, such as received
signal strength (RSSI), signal to interference ratios (SIR), best
server, bit error rate (BER), frame error rate (FER), RF exposure,
throughput, and handoff regions for indoor, microcell, and macrocell
wireless environments. SitePlanner® has proven to be a valuable
timesaving tool and is in use by wireless service providers, manufacturers,
system integrators and consultants worldwide. With its new, highly
intuitive look and feel, SitePlanner® 2000 will greatly enhance
the productivity and efficiency of RF engineers who design and deploy
indoor and microcellular communication systems.
Wireless Valley also announced recent major sales
to Ericsson, AT&T Wireless, Sprint PCS and the Chicago Mercantile
Exchange. Terms were not disclosed. Ericsson has been using SitePlanner®
to design their Mobile Advantage Wireless Office systems,
while the Chicago Mercantile Exchange will be using SitePlanner®
to design and deploy wireless voice and data communication systems
on the mercantile exchange trading floor.
